Improve Township processes and resident services

The Mayor and Council have listened to resident feedback about Township services. Over the past few years, the Mayor has emphasized hiring and promoting people who possess both the right technical skills to get the job done and a service mindset. Our Township team has worked hard to improve efficiency and act with empathy. They have earned high-fives from residents who have received service that goes beyond and is delivered with a smile. We are very proud of our Township employees, elected officials, volunteers who make up this smart team!  

We have improved on our communications with our “BE HEARD” campaign. Our volunteer Communications committee surveyed residents to learn what kind of information most wanted from the Township and what format they wanted to receive it in.  Based on that information and building on previous efforts of the Mayor and Town Administrator, residents are now receiving more frequent digital and phone alert communications.  The Communications Committee is planning to implement additional initiatives in 2018 and 2019, including electronic newsletters, an enhanced website and expanded use of social media.

We will continue to analyze, develop and institute streamlined processes where applicable and emphasize good communication and customer service skills.
